Personal and menstrual hygiene.

India is a developing country but the great Indian sanitation crisis census showed that less than half of Indian households had a toilet at home. There were more households with mobile phones than toilets. Period poverty is a term used to describe a situation when there is a lack of sanitary products and other essentials like toilets with clean water. Lack of sanitation and period poverty is common on certain streets of India like the goregaon central in Mumbai, outskirts of Bangalore and rural areas like chitradurga. Rahat and care foundation has held workshops and campaigns in public schools and orphanages about creating awareness of sanitation. We also donated sanitary napkins to the underprivileged school children to promote the usage of sanitary napkins.
